 Perform the following guidelines to Western Digital My Cloud Home 2TB setup for Windows.


  • First, connect the My Cloud power cord to the wall outlet.
  • Take the Ethernet cable that was attached with the box and then plug it to the rear of My Cloud.
  • Now, plug the other end of the Ethernet cable into the home network to the wireless router.
  • The My Cloud will now boot; it will take some time.
  • Once the My Cloud boot up is done, the LED lights will turn blue.
  • Next, open a new web browser and launch the manufacturer’s site.
  • On the Home page, click Download software option.
  • Next, click the Download Setup software and save the desired location.
  • Once the file is downloaded, open the downloaded setup file.
  • Now, click the Get Started button on the Welcome screen.
  • Read the License Agreement and then click Next.
  • Click Next on the Get Powered up and connected screen.
  • When the installer asks for Boot up, then click Next twice.
  • This will verify the status of My cloud, and this will take some time.
  • Now, create your WD account by entering the required details and then click Next.
  • The Western Digital My Cloud Home 2TB setup for Windows process completed.
  • Next, install the WD My Cloud desktop application.
  • Choose the language, accept the terms and conditions, and right-click Done.
  • Next, launch the My Cloud and key in the credentials.
