Setup My Cloud 2TB Hard Drive for Mac

 Proceed with the following instructions to set up My Cloud 2TB hard drive for Mac.

  1. First, plug the My Cloud power adapter into the wall.
  2. Next, get the Ethernet cable that came along the package and connect it back to the My Cloud.
  3. Plug the other end into the wireless router.
  4. The My Cloud will boot up now, and this will take some time.
  5. Once the boot up is done, the LED lights will turn on.
  6. Next, open a new web browser and go to the manufacturer’s site.
  7. Select the My Cloud product from the main screen.
  8. Click the Download Setup Software option.
  9. Next, double-click the downloaded file and install the WD My Cloud Setup file.
  10. Now, click Get started on the My cloud welcome screen.
  11. Now, examine and accept the terms and conditions and then click Next.
  12. After this, the My Cloud checks the network status, and this will take some time.
  13. Next, the My Cloud will prompt to create the WD My Cloud account.
  14. Type the required details in the given fields and then click Next.
  15. The WD My Cloud will generate this account.
  16. If you want, you can install the WD My Cloud application on the desktop.
  17. To log into the My Cloud account, key in the correct credentials on the login screen.
