How to Setup My Cloud 4TB Hard Drive?

 Here are the guidelines to perform WD my cloud 4TB hard drive setup.


  1. Take the WD My Cloud storage device out of the box. Set the Ethernet cable, power adapter, and user manual aside.
  2. Take the Ethernet cable that came in the box and attach it to the My Cloud device’s Ethernet port. Attach the Ethernet cable’s other end to the router’s Ethernet port.
  3. Connect the WD My Cloud 4TB device’s power adapter to the Power port on the rear side of the machine and the electrical outlet.
  4. Wait until the LED glows steadily on the WD My Cloud device and then navigate to the ‘mycloud.com/hello’ web page on your mobile device’s web browser.
  5. Tap 'Create account' and type the details in the First Name, Last Name, Email, Confirm Email, and Password fields. Tap Create Account.
  6. The mobile device detects the My Cloud device and displays it on the browser screen. Tap Connect. Tap Share if you do not mind sharing the device information with WD.
  7. If the mobile device does not detect the My Cloud device, the Let’s Find Your Device screen appears. Tap the ‘Find My Device’ button. The Enter Device Code appears.
  8. Locate the WD My Cloud device’s user manual and look for the 9-digit code. Enter it in the 9-digit field on the screen and tap Search.
  9. Now, the WD My Cloud device will be connected to your mobile device.
