 If the computer does not recognize the Western Digital My Passport Go 1TB storage device, follow these guidelines to fix the issue.


Use a different compatible USB cable to connect the WD device to the computer an check whether the computer recognizes it.

Check whether your computer has the latest USB drivers installed. 

If there are OS updates or driver updates available, install them and check whether the issue is resolved.

Connect the WD device to another computer and check whether it recognizes the drive. 

If it does, you need to service/replace the USB port on your computer.
